Our honest review:
Restaurant is situated near the Royal Pavilion, rather central in the city. This place is known for their cheap Japanese food. We went during lunch time, hit smack right into the lunch-time crowd, and therefore had to share tables with others. There were only 2 of us, so they slotted us in between 2 groups of people. The restaurant has an upstairs seating as well, but I didn't managed to check it out due to the lunch time crowd. People who didn't manage to get a table, had theirs to take away.

Pork Nanban Don

Katsu Don

Presentation wise, I would say it is pretty decent. However, the chicken in both bowls were rather tough and dry. The Pork Nanban Don had way too much sauce, and was way too salty, whereas the Katsu Don had way too little sauce, and was rather bland. The portion was not big, but probably sufficient for a small eater (not me); most people ordered additional starters.

Price: Both rice bowls were £4.90, but main food prices ranged from £4.50 - £5.20. Starters ranged from £2.50 - £3.70. For the price we paid, food was pretty decent. It felt like a fast food takeaway instead of a sit-in restaurant.

Decent food, relatively cheap prices, crowded but fast turnover of customers. Would recommend for a quick, non-fuss bite. Good for students on a budget with a craving.
